Shawn A. Wilson, 44, of Hendersonville entered his Heavenly home on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from the Elizabeth House following a long battle with brain cancer.

A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of Brian and Doris Wilson Butterfield. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Geder and Gladys Wilson and his uncle, Frank Webb.

Shawn graduated West Henderson High School in 1992 and worked for Tucker Materials in Fletcher for 16 years before becoming ill. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and liked to work in the yard, even having his own landscape business on the side. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his children.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his sons, Tyler Ray, Nickolas, and Brandon Wilson and Christian Hensley; mothers of his children, Angela Oxendine and Tanya Hensley Terrell; brothers, Brian A. and Brad Butterfield; and numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.

    Shawn will be remembered most for the Love he had for his kids. I tried his best to spend as much time as he could fishing with them and sitting with them around the fire talking and joking. He was a great friend and treated his friends like family. He will truly be missed. RIP Shawn, we will see each other again!!
