Sue Nix, 73, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2011. She was born in Henderson County to the late Glen and Ruby Merrell. Sue was preceded in death by her husband Russell of 52 years who died in 2010 and also her brother Steve Merrell.

She loved to garden and was a wonderful artist and was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church. All who knew her loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Renae Nix; son, Tim Nix; grandson, Cody Nix who was the love of her life; sister, Betty Connor and husband Harold; brother, Bill Merrell and wife Elaine; many cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Mountain Home Baptist Church in Edneyville with Rev. Craig Garren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service

at the church.

Shuler Funeral Home is assisting the family.
