Terry Neal Staton, 66, of Hendersonville went Home to be with the Lord Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, Terry was a son of the late Frank and Hattie Lytle Staton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Staton, and sister, Jo Ellen Stepp.

An Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War. He was co-owner and operator of Staton Brothers’ Masonry. Terry was a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his two daughters, Terri Garren and husband, Michael, of Anderson, SC, and Tiffany Ensley and husband, Michael, of Hendersonville; his son, Jason Staton and wife, Amanda, of Hendersonville; six grandchildren, Tanner Garren and wife, Kaelyn, and Kaleigh Garren; Caleb and Mason Staton; and Aiden and Emma Ensley; brother, Bob Staton of Texas; sisters, Frankie Allison of Arden and Rachel Reynolds of Fletcher; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 4 PM Wednesday in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times will be at the home of Tiffany and Michael Ensley.

    Michael and I are so sorry for your loss. We pray that God will give you comfort and peace. Michael said Terry was his favorite uncle. He said he used to buy him tobacco when he was younger, lol. Great memories of him and daddy (Stanley) working together.
