Thomas E. “Tommy” Singleton, Jr., 76 of Mill Spring passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at home, surrounded by his family.

A son of the late Thomas E. and Maude Wilkie Singleton, he spent most of his life in Henderson County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Singleton. He graduated from Fletcher High School and was a plumber for over 40 years, even helping develop and instruct the plumbing diploma program at Blue Ridge Community College. Tommy also served his country in the US Navy and was a lifetime member of the local VFW.

He leaves behind his children, Melissa S. McCann (Dennis) of Delphos, OH and Brian Singleton (Ronda) of Mill Spring; step-daughter, Patricia Pinkalla (Greg); grandchildren, Ashley Price, Cameron Singleton, Lauren, Jessica, Parker Norris, Dylan Pinkalla and Peyton and Paul Alvarez; great-grandchildren, Raelyn Emory Price; sister, Janet Pattram (Ted); brother, Kenneth Singleton.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 2PM Friday, April 6, 2018 at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
