Thomas Lee ìTommyî Huffman, 25, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday, August 18, 2008.

He was the son of Frances G. Huffman of Due West, SC, and the late Daniel L. Huffman, and the grandson of the late William P. Grier and Mary K. Grier.

Tommy was educated in the Iredell and Henderson County Schools, graduating from East Henderson High School in 2000. He was employed by K& S Communications in Arden, NC. He was a member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church and often attended Grace Community Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his aunts and uncles, Bill and Jonell Grier; Eleanor and Lee Logan; Effie and Herbert Jordan; Carol Howard; Larry Huffman; Perry Huffman; Barbara Huffman; and Bobby Huffman; and his very special friends, Howard, Noah, and Eric George.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 22, 2008, in the Chapel of Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock. The Reverends Charles B. Evans and Mark McClamrock will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of Bonclarken. A graveside service will be held at 5 PM Friday at Due West ARP Church Cemetery in Due West, SC, with the Reverend Calvin Draffin officiating.

Memorials may be made to the organization where he volunteered, the Camp Joy Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1205, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
