Tom Busbee

Charles Thomas “Tom” Busbee, 61, of Hendersonville, NC, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at Pardee Memorial Hospital.

Born in Henderson County, NC, he was the son of the late Jefferson William Busbee and Verla Mae Ward Busbee. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Busbee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathleen Roberts Busbee of Hendersonville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 7, 2008 in the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. The Reverend Mike Engle will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131.

    Kathleen, I am sorry that I found this notice Monday afternoon. I noticed I haven't seen Tom around lately, and so I guess he has been quite ill. I will remember his smiling face and his kindness. I am so very sorry for your loss. Tom loved you very much, that was very obvious. I hope to see you again someday soon.

    I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing away. I met him once in the late 1960's. My mother, Shirley Bullington, my grandmother, Missouri "MO" Bullington, and I were vacationing and stopped to visit the family from Florida. I remember him as a very kind and running after his parents cats. May this find his survivors in great health. Remember the good times with Tom. The laughter and smiles he gave.
