Travis Kenneth “Kenny” Duncan, 51, of Hendersonville, died Saturday, November 12, at the Elizabeth House following a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of Ruby Pruitt of Hendersonville and the late Travis Duncan.

He attended Hendersonville High School, was employed with Bluebird Taxi for 20 years and most recently worked at Wal-Mart. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Kenny was a well liked, upbeat person who loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Ann Duncan; a son, Nathan Duncan of the home; a step-son, Brian Duncan of Asheville; six sisters, June Allison of Crawford, TX, Frieda Candler of Flat Rock, Barbara Duncan of Greenville, SC, Peggy Duncan and Irene Munoz, both of Hendersonville and Deborah Phillips of Flat Rock; four brothers, Eddie Duncan of Balfour, Jasper Duncan of Etowah, Glenn Duncan of Dahlonega, GA, Steve Duncan of Wilmington and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 19, in the Kirby Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home. Rev. Harold McKinnish will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family at 105 Hawkins Creek Rd. Hendersonville, NC 28791.
