Virginia McLaughlin, 87, formally of Forest Hills, NY, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family.
A native of Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Stack. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James A. McLaughlin, a sister, Pauline Manginelli, and a brother, Robert Stack.
She retired from NBC after 30 plus years as a revenue supervisor. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Suzette Casabianca and her husband George; two grandchildren, Jarett and Austin Casabianca; a brother, Jospeh Stack and his wife Joan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at The Lady of Our Angel’s Chapel of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Andrew Nowak officiating. Interment will follow at WNC State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a rosary service at 7:30 PM on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Shuler Funeral Home.
