Wallace Hayward Jackson, Sr., 84, of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, February 8, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg.

Born in Tucapau, SC, he was the son of the late Ed Mark Jackson and Edna Huntsinger Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Fore Jackson who died in 2009.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the US Navy and was awarded five medals. He was a sheet metalist and an antiques dealer.

He is survived by his sisters, Norma Jean Toney of Spartanburg and Jenelle Carr of Tennessee; a brother, Bud Jackson of Spartanburg; his son, Wallace Hayward Jackson, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC; and his stepchildren, Shirley McCall of Zirconia, NC; Ray Baldwin, Terry Baldwin; Randall Baldwin, all of Hendersonville, NC; Sheila Morris of Asheville, NC; and Elaine Cole of Hendersonville, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1 ñ 2 PM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Floydís Church Street Chapel in Spartanburg. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:30 PM at Westwood Memorial Gardens in Moore, SC. The Reverend Cory Honeycutt will officiate.
