Willavene Pace McCall, 87, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, Willavene was the youngest of eight children born to Hiram Kimsey Pace and Janie Heatherly Pace. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas McCall, Sr.; a son, Gregory Todd McCall; and seven brothers and sisters.

Willavene was a devoted homemaker and cosmetologist. A member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, she faithfully served as a choir member and pianist/organist for many years.

She is survived by her son, Tom McCall and his wife, Shirley, of Zirconia; daughter, Dr. Patricia McCall Ramos and her husband, Dave, of Coral Springs, FL; six grandchildren, Jeremy Sizemore, Amy Honeycutt, Melissa Walters, Louis Ramos, Erik Ramos and Kevin Ramos; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 17 at Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Cory Honeycutt and the Rev. Dr. Greg Mathis officiating.
