William Thomas Penn, 89 of Saluda, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 6:10am at The Elizabeth House.

Born in Fullerton, Maryland, Bill lived a contented and joyful life and departed this world in the hollow of Godís hand. He polished his memories as a World War II pilot that taught young men to fly. He is survived by his wife Joann Tallman Penn; a sister Sarah Margaret Penn; his children Josephine Penn, William Thomas Penn, Jr. and Kenneth Eugene Penn; grandchildren Ashley, Rosie, Narayani and Summer Penn, Veronica, Ben, Ian, Shyla and Oliva Penn, and John, Michael and Jennifer Bower; great-grandchildren Paige and Ethan Bowers, Gillian, Ronan and Tieran Gannon, Issac Penn and Clarity Hawks; four step-children Tina Tallman, Craig Tallman, Mark Tallman and Keith Tallman; and step-grandchildren Dakota Edmonds, Elijah Tallman, Isabella Tallman, Luke Tallman and Hannah Tallman.

Services will be held in Colorado.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
