J. Wayne Fletcher, a Henderson County native grew up in Balfour Village.  He graduated from Hendersonville High School, attended Brevard College, Western Carolina University and Asheville-Buncombe Tech.  He was a professional baseball player.  Wayne has been married to Linda Saltz Fletcher for over 53 years and has two children and four grandchildren.  He is a member of Gethsemane Baptist Chur
